Abstract (English): The article analyzes the ruling of the Superior Court of Justice of Castilla y León on the administrative appeal filed by the Association for the Conservation and Study of the Iberian Wolf (ASCEL) against the Order that allowed wolf hunting in the region. The ruling concludes that the regional legislation declaring the wolf as a huntable species north of the Duero River goes against European Union law. The challenged resolutions are annulled, but ASCEL's request for compensation for the wolves killed is rejected. [Extracted from the article]
