Abstract (English): The article focuses on Decree 15/2026, of February 4, 2026, which aims to enhance the economic, social, and labor impact of sustainable mining in Andalusia. This decree regulates measures to promote mining-industrial ecosystems linked to mining facilities of great significance, defined as those with an annual extraction equal to or greater than one million tons and at least 200 direct jobs. Among the planned actions are specific action plans, financial support, promotion of human capital, inclusion of women, administrative streamlining, and institutional coordination. Additionally, the Network of Mining Municipalities is promoted to strengthen these ecosystems in mining influence areas. [Extracted from the article]
Abstract (Spanish): En los últimos años, el resurgir de la minería metálica y la creciente preocupación de la Unión Europea por garantizar el suministro de materias primas minerales a la industria europea, han vuelto a poner a la Comunidad Autónoma de Andalucía en el mapa mundial de la minería. La aspiración por el desarrollo de una minería innovadora y especialmente respetuosa con el medio ambiente quedó expuesta en el Acuerdo del Consejo de Gobierno de 25 de julio de 2023, por el que se aprobó la Estrategia para una Minería Sostenible en Andalucía 2030 (EMSA 2030), a través de la cual se pretende impulsar una minería consecuente con las grandes potencialidades de la región y que sea motor de desarrollo económico, creación de empleo, y contribuya a una mejor calidad de vida de los andaluces.
