Decree 180/2025, of December 1, regulates the prevention, extinction, and restoration of forest fires in the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. It establishes key definitions, danger phases according to risk, preventive measures, authorizations for activities involving fire, and obligations for holders of electrical lines in forest areas. Additionally, it creates a planning framework composed of various plans, including the Special INFOCA Plan, and regulates the Canary Islands Forest Fire Fighting Committee. It also addresses environmental restoration following large-scale fires and establishes a sanctioning regime, with specific exceptions for Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. [Extracted from the article] |

El presente Decreto tiene por objeto establecer las medidas para la prevención y extinción, y medidas urgentes para la restauración de zonas afectadas por los incendios forestales e incendios en la interfaz urbano-forestal, que se puedan producir en la Comunidad Autónoma de Canarias. El artículo 2 nos brinda un amplio elenco de definiciones, entre las que se incluyen "gran incendio forestal", "incendio interfaz" e "incendio forestal. En función del riesgo de que se produzcan incendios forestales, se fijan distintas épocas de peligro. Con independencia de estas épocas, los órganos competentes en atención de emergencias por incendios forestales, podrán establecer las fases preventivas contempladas en los correspondientes planes de protección civil de emergencias por incendios forestales.
