Abstract: Health education for adolescents (HEA) has become a hot topic in the last decade. However, previous studies review this field from a single perspective and fail to use objective-result-based pictures to comprehensively depict its status and process, making it difficult to know the macrostructure and key details explicitly. This study aims to provide a comprehensive, integrated, objective, and far-sighted understanding of HEA, helping stakeholders understand the macrostructure, key information, future tendencies, and implications. Specifically, we provide a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of HEA, utilizing CiteSpace to clarify the collaboration connections, co-cited status quo, and co-occurring evolution of HEA from critical databases within the Web of Science Core Collection from 2003 to 2023. We also construct a knowledge framework and pinpoint the future research directions and managerial implications. Findings indicate increased HEA publications over the past two decades, with significant attention on mental and sexual health education. Current research has started to deepen its efforts in niche areas. The research highlights digital technologies as a pivotal element of HEA, with growing importance in cross-disciplines, including medicine, psychology, and environmental studies. The implications of this study highlight the need for proper strategies and plans in future practice for policymakers, suggesting a move towards multidisciplinary, various-participants involved, regional and demographic balanced, and innovative HEA strategies. This study is innovative because the bibliometric approach is new in HEA analysis, and the data-driven, objective, and intuitive results highlight both the macrostructure and details of HEA. Also, the knowledge framework and future implications provide valuable references for future research and practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
