Abstract: The article reports on the decision of the German firm Interseroh to exercise its option to acquire a 25 percent share in Hudson, Ohio-based scrap metal trading firm ProTrade Group LLC. The companies had an agreement in 2007 that allows Interseroh to increase its stake in ProTrade to 75 percent. Under the deal, the steel and metals recycling segment of Interseroh will be allowed to enter the U.S. scrap market with a volume of about 60 million tons per year.
