Subject Terms: *Water treatment plants, *Hydraulic structures, *Water-supply engineering, *Water utilities, Control boards (Electrical engineering) design & construction, Protection
Company/Entity: Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures (Company)
Abstract: The article discusses a strategy for protecting a system control and data acquisition (SCADA) control panel in a water filtration plant. It states that corrosion level in water treatment facilities is usually high due to the position of control units above open top tanks which contain chlorinated water. The plant reportedly needed to find a non-metallic alternative for enclosing the control panels through the use of the Stahlin Non-Metallic Enclosures.
