| Abstract: | In this article the author discusses the global impact of air pollution on mortality. It states that half of the world's population has been exposed to particulate matter (PM) in their homes as a result of using charcoal, wood, and animal/crop residues. Furthermore, it notes that combustion of biomass fuels has been shown to create high concentrations of domestic air pollution. |
