| Abstract: | The article focuses on a project by a group of engineering and education faculty members at Virginia Tech to adopt the spiral curriculum approach to the bioprocess engineering option within the undergraduate Biological Systems Engineering program, as of March 2014. The group developed a design process that can be expressed in several steps including defining overall outcomes, developing concept maps to identify knowledge areas and developing spiral learning objectives. |
