The article shows the skepticism of a majority of the U.S. Supreme Court about the constitutionality of the executive order of U.S. President Donald Trump that would end birthright citizenship of children born on U.S. soil to undocumented immigrants and temporary foreign visitors. It raises the debate between justices and lawyers over the meaning of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment and the meaning of the word domicile in the 1898 ruling in the citizenship case of Wong Kim Ark. |
