Abstract: The article presents the author's opinions on U.S. college students in 2007. Arguments are presented which suggest that college students refuse to weave together an overarching narrative to their own political consciousness, to present a cast of inspirational or revolutionary characters on their public stage or define a specific philosophy, and that they are seemingly without direction or theme, structure or meaning, and are part of a generation defined negatively against what came before them.
