Abstract: The article presents a study which describes the novel framework for anticipatory Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for emerging photovoltaic technologies. The framework incorporates technology forecasting, risk research, social engagement, and comparative impact assessment. The researchers present examples that illustrate the potential for anticipatory LCA for research questions and guidance to environmentally responsible innovative technologies.
