Abstract (English): Quito has the challenge of solving city planning, day is imminent for the balanced growth of the city of the future. Through the urban project "Bicentennial Plan" implemented by the Mayor of the Metropolitan District of Quito 2009/2014 around the big empty space left since the exit from Quito Airport, there have been a series of reflections, analysis and practical exercises from the Architecture Workshop 7/8 FADA-PUCE. Studies, analysis and testing of the document are based on the academic experience into two semesters, Jan/May and Aug/Dec 2013 to test the validity of the Plan, studying volumes and architectural sketches that is useful to analyze, evaluate, weigh and criticize the Bicentennial Plan, as well as propose possible options to use the territory. Abstract (Spanish): Quito se enfrenta al desafío de resolver la planificación de su territorio. A través del proyecto urbano "Plan especial Bicentenario: Consolidación del Parque de la Ciudad y Redesarrollo de su Entorno Urbano" implementado por la Alcaldía del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito 2009/2014 alrededor del espacio vacío que quedó desde la salida del aeropuerto de Quito se realizó investigación en aula con reflexiones, análisis y soluciones arquitectónicas, desde el Taller de Arquitectura 7/8 de la FADA-PUCE. Los estudios, análisis y ensayos del documento se basan en la experiencia académica en dos semestres, ene/mayo y ago/dic de 2013 en el Taller para probar la validez del Plan, estudiando volúmenes y anteproyectos arquitectónicos que permitieron analizar, evaluar, sopesar y criticar el Plan Bicentenario, así como las posibles opciones para la ocupación del territorio.
