| Abstract: | The article presents an argument that insects have the capacity of subjective experience or consciousness. The authors highlights the basis of the hypothesis the vertebrate membrane of an insect's brain is capable of subjective experience and that it has the capacity to integrate sensory stimulation and neural representation that conduct the behavior of insects. The authors also argues that an insect's brain has analogous functional properties that has the capacity of subjective experience. |
