Title: Effects of shoe drop on running mechanics in women.
Authors: Besson, T.1 thibault.besson@yahoo.fr, Morio, C.2, Rossi, J.1
Source: Computer Methods in Biomechanics & Biomedical Engineering. 2017 Supplement, Vol. 20, pS19-S20. 2p.
Subjects: Heel injuries, Knee pain, Women runners, Kinematics, Physiology, Wounds & injuries
Abstract: The article provides information on the results of a study conducted to determine the influence of the shoe drop on the kinematics of the knee in women runners including lower injury risk for occasional runners with low-drop shoes, higher risk for regular women runners, and the lower limb kinetics. Also discussed is the moment of the knee joints and ankle flexion.
