Abstract: The incorporation of manganese difluoride as a heterovalent additive into an α-(YbSc)F solid solution has made it possible to stabilize a solid solution with the α-YF (α-UO) structure. The 573-K ionic conductivity of YbScMnF is σ = 3 × 10 S/cm, with an activation enthalpy for ion transport Δ H = 0.6 eV (523-767 K). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
