Abstract: We communicate the interference of a compound of the blood collection tube with the accuracy of a validated high-pressure liquid chromatography method with ultraviolet detection for quantifying voriconazole levels, which led to false positive results. This could have serious consequences for patient management. Our advice is to implement external assessment programs. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
