| Abstract: |
An immediate turn-ON time 95-GHz long pulse gyrotron with water cooled dc copper electromagnet is presented. The gyrotron operates at TE02 mode and second harmonic with output power of ~5 kW. A ~1.8-T magnetic field is induced continuously. The magnetic field is stabilized after 0.3 s and no cool down time is required. The entire gyrotron turn-ON time is, therefore, 0.3 s. Experimental results of the electromagnet and the gyrotron operation up to 10 s are presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
