Abstract: Abstract The doping effects of Cu ions on the elastic properties of the LiNbO 3 crystal in the hypersonic range of frequencies were studied by Brillouin scattering. The concentration of Cu was 0.05 mol%. Comparison with pure samples showed a relative decrease in frequencies falling in the range of 4–11%. Measurements were performed in different crystallographic directions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
