Subjects: Cancellous bone, Bone cells, Computed tomography, Finite element method, Bone density
Abstract: The article presents a study that evaluates the cancellous bone architectural parameters from skeletonized model through the use of a Volume of Interest (VOI) size. It offers details of the method of the study in which non-defatted cylindrical cancellous bone specimens from six bovine femurs. It outlines the result which indicates that VOI has significant effect on the evaluation of bone architecture parameters.
