Abstract: The devil is in the details when selecting and sizing HVAC control valves. From pressure considerations to reevaluating the"tried-and-true solutions," the selection process has many pitfalls. Common valve selection mistakes include more than pressure issues and oversized valves, said Tricia Bruenn, Member ASHRAE, senior manager of strategic initiatives at Belimo Americas. Challenges also include material selection and using"tried-and-true" solutions to develop specifi cations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
