Abstract: In the present work a comparative study of electrical, dielectric and EMI shielding behaviour of copper metal-PVDF and copper ferrite- PVDF composites has been carried out. The obtained results suggest that copper metal PVDF composite shows better conductivity and dielectric constant in addition to excellent shielding efficiency in the X-band frequency range in comparison to copper ferrite PVDF composite. On the other hand copper ferrite PVDF composite exhibits better crystallinity. A high absorption dominated EMI shielding efficiency (SE) value of 28.75 dB is achieved for the copper metal-PVDF composite, thus making it a potential candidate for shielding application.
