| Abstract: | It has been established that the loss of superconductivity in high-temperature superconductor wires at alternating current overloading is accompanied by changing the phase difference sign between current and voltage. In a second-generation stabilized HTSC wire with overloading, oscillations of the amplitudes of the alternating current and voltage have been observed due to variations in the size of the normal zone in the superconducting layer. A change in the phase difference sign can be used for the timely registration of the normal zone formation in the current-carrying elements of superconducting electrical equipment.
