Abstract (English): The present survey work contextualizes the main technologies of the era of digitalization or Industry 4.0, also known as the Fourth Industrial Revolution. First, the industrial impact and the technological evolution that the predecessor revolutions have historically caused are briefly described, to later present some of the architectures, standards, characteristics, and components of Industry 4.0, where the different engineering disciplines play a fundamental role. Abstract (Spanish): El presente trabajo contextualiza las principales tecnologías de la era de la digitalización o Industria 4.0, también conocida como Cuarta Revolución Industrial. En primer lugar, se describe brevemente el impacto industrial y la evolución tecnológica que han ocasionado históricamente las revoluciones predecesoras, para posteriormente presentar algunas de las principales arquitecturas, estándares, características y componentes de la Industria 4.0, donde las distintas disciplinas de la ingeniería desempeñan un papel fundamental para su evolución.
