| Abstract: | The article explores means of reducing and eliminating e-waste (electronic waste created through the use of servers, personal computers, smartphones, tablets, entertainment and wearable devices). With U.S. households owning an average of 11 connected devices and the growth of new Internet of Things (IoT) products this waste is projected to only increase. Details on the management of e-waste is also discussed as are hydrometallurgical processes used to separate metals in the recycling of e-waste. |
