Abstract: The article examines the alleged impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on computer ethics. The author recommends the completion of a risk-benefit analysis before deployment of proposed solutions to societal problems, collaboration with experts in other disciplines, and protection of data gathered in response to the pandemic.
