Abstract: The article presents a vision of what daily life would be like in 2050 if the steps needed to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions to limit global warming have been taken. It describes an imagined day in the life of Isla, a child in 2021, in 2050, informed by research, expert opinion and current trials. It also discusses the background for the changes in Isla's life in 2050 in six crucial areas of our everyday lives, based on the situation in Great Britain.
