| Abstract: | The dependence of the stability of emulsions, as well as of the viscosity and activation energy of viscous flow of paraffinic and resinous oils on the ratio of the content of resin-asphaltene components to paraffinic hydrocarbons was established. The paraffinic and resinous oils and their water-in-oil emulsions are non-Newtonian viscoplastic media. An increase in the aqueous phase content in the paraffinic oil emulsion to 30% leads to increases in rheological parameters and in the pour point. A decrease in the activation energy of viscous flow of the oils with water cut increasing to 50% is attributable both to significant reduction of the proportion of paraffinic hydrocarbons in the emulsion and to the appearance of unbound water which causes a decrease in viscosity.
