Abstract: The article examines the state of development of self-driving automobile technology. Delineations between the various "levels" of self-driving technology are outlined along with obstacles to the proliferation of this technology and the use of artificial intelligence in training self-driving vehicles is described. The use of LiDAR and GPS systems in personal vehicles and taxis is discussed as well as government regulation and training self-driving vehicles to understand human behavior.
