Abstract (English): This paper addresses the current technological advances in the development of facilities for the testing and approval electrical vehicles batteries. Also, the main aspects for the design this kind of laboratory were analyzed with the objective in the near future in Cuba we will build it. Likewise, the most applied techniques and procedures in the world related with diagnosis and certification of electric vehicles batteries were studied. Based on these studies, the safety requirements and the equipment required for made the tests of those batteries were also considerate where the rough acquisition cost and the potential for the implementation in the country was estimated. The results of the investigation demonstrate the benefits of the implementation of this kind battery labs would be achieved, based on the profits it will generate by its use in the country. Abstract (Spanish): En el presente trabajo se abordan los avances tecnológicos actuales en el desarrollo de instalaciones para la prueba y homologación de las baterías a utilizar en los vehículos eléctricos, a fin de analizar los principales aspectos a tener en cuenta para el diseño y posible puesta en marcha de laboratorios de este tipo en el país. Asi mismo, se analizan las técnicas y procedimientos más aplicados en el mundo en lo referente a diagnóstico y certificación de baterías para vehículos eléctricos. Partiendo de estos análisis, así como de los requerimientos de seguridad que deben poseer dichas baterías y el equipamiento requerido para su funcionamiento, el costo aproximado de la adquisición, se estudian las potencialidades para su construcción en el país. Los resultados de la investigación demuestran los beneficios que se alcanzarían con la puesta en funcionamiento de dicho laboratorio, a partir de los beneficios que genera su utilización en el país.
