Abstract (English): The article focuses on a comparative study of various Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited computer engineering programs, utilizing Self Assessment Reports (SARs) to analyze their accreditation processes. It highlights the importance of academic accreditation in enhancing program quality and attracting qualified faculty, while also addressing the challenges institutions face due to a lack of information on effective accreditation strategies. The study examines seven different programs, revealing diverse approaches to meeting ABET criteria and emphasizing the need for improved methodologies in preparing SARs to reflect the true status of these programs. Abstract (Arabic): المقال يركز على دراسة مقارنة لبرامج هندسة الكمبيوتر المعتمدة من قبل مجلس الاعتماد للهندسة والتكنولوجيا (ABET)، من خلال استخدام تقارير التقييم الذاتي (SARs) لتحليل عمليات الاعتماد الخاصة بها. يبرز المقال أهمية الاعتماد الأكاديمي في تعزيز جودة البرامج وجذب أعضاء هيئة تدريس مؤهلين، كما يتناول التحديات التي تواجه المؤسسات بسبب نقص المعلومات حول استراتيجيات الاعتماد الفعالة. تدرس الدراسة سبعة برامج مختلفة، كاشفة عن أساليب متنوعة لتلبية معايير ABET، وتؤكد على الحاجة إلى تحسين المنهجيات في إعداد تقارير التقييم الذاتي لتعكس الوضع الحقيقي لهذه البرامج. تهدف النتائج إلى تقديم إرشادات للمؤسسات التي تسعى للحصول على الاعتماد في برامجها الحاسوبية.
