| Abstract: | This comment critiques a research paper by Javed et al. (2017) on the computation of mean Nusselt numbers in a lid-driven trapezoidal cavity under different heating conditions. The comment points out that Javed et al. (2017) made errors in their calculations and used an incorrect expression for the mean Nusselt number, leading to incorrect results. The authors of the comment conducted their own simulation using the correct formulation and found that Javed et al. (2017) underpredicted the mean Nusselt number for certain heating conditions. The comment concludes that Javed et al. (2017) did not properly analyze mixed convection phenomena and used the wrong formulation for non-uniform heating. [Extracted from the article] |
