Abstract: The article presents an algorithm that computes cubic spline solutions to a class of functional differential equations. The subroutine SPNBVP calculates a piecewise continuous approximation to the solution of the boundary value problem. SPNBVP utilizes an iterative scheme where each iterate is a cubic spline serving as an approximation to the true solution. SPNBVP requires six function subprograms for defining the functions. Four other subroutines are required. Finally, the user is responsible for the provision of routines which compute the solution of the matrix system.
