| Abstract: |
The article presents information about ACM Press publications. The ACM Press was created in July 1986 to provide a single focus for ACM publications. All of the ACM's publishing activities are under the aegis of the ACM Press and carry the ACM Press logo. ACM Press Books will have an active book publication program that furthers the educational and research objectives of the ACM. Addison-Wesley will work closely with ACM volunteers and headquarters staff to solicit, review, and select books for possible publication. ACM Press book publications will include edited collections and original manuscripts that fall into the following series, namely, the Frontier Series, the Anthology Series, the Tutorial Series and the History Series. ACM Press Books will also distribute, via Addison-Wesley, selected Proceedings judged to be of broad interest. Since most current conference proceedings have only a narrow readership, publication of proceedings as books is likely to be the exception rather than the rule. |
