Abstract: • This article presents the results of transfer function measurements of medium voltage sensors in broad frequency range. • The sensors tested are conventional voltage and current transformers, Rogowski coil and voltage sensors. • The article presents the numerical values of the models approximating the transfer functions of the sensors, allowing them to be used in simulations. This paper presents the test results of signal converters' ability to measure current and voltage at travelling wave frequencies. The transfer function models of the converters are developed and presented. In the literature the plots of the frequency characteristics of various types of converters can be found, but they are usually not supplemented with the specific numerical data or at least a transfer function model. In this paper, the authors intend to show stable transfer functions models of traditional transformers, Rogowski coils and voltage sensors for signals up to few megahertzes. The developed models can be used for the advanced simulations of the operation of protective relays, including those based on wave phenomena. These models can also be used for the analyses concerning power quality measurements. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
