Abstract: The article considers the problem of diffraction of a plane electromagnetic wave by a cylinder of arbitrary cross section with an edge on the boundary. Using the method first proposed by V.A. Kondrat'ev, the singular part of the solution in the vicinity of the edge is separated for the cases of impedance, perfectly conducting, and dielectric cylinders. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
