| Abstract (English): | Jatropha curcas oil and its derivatives have been products of special interest due to applications in the formulation of bio lubricants and biodiesel. This contains toxic compounds such as phorbol esters, so the objective is to select the biomodels to be used to determine the level of toxicity of Jatropha curcas oil and its derivatives. A qualitative investigation was carried out to specify the models used in determining toxicity; scientific articles, master's theses, doctoral theses, books and others were reviewed, from which the foundations that showed a clear and reliable vision of the subject were compiled. The review was carried out in international databases, Google academic, SciELO, Redalyc, Science Direct, as well as in institutional repositories, with the descriptors Jatropha curcas, biomodels, ecotoxicity and biological models. The information collected was organized and analyzed applying analysis and synthesis research methods, selecting 65 contributions that were the most representative. The main biomodels used by the compendium of authors were Lactuca sativa and Artemia salina due to their easy handling and low costs. It is concluded that the use of biological models to determine the ecotoxicity of a substance is varied, demonstrating that these models are of undeniable importance. Lactuca sativa and Artemia salina are the most used by the compendium of authors studied. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
[ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
