Abstract (English): By means the chemical and mineralogical characterization of the heavy, magnetic and electromagnetic fractions of the black sands from the placer deposit of Mejías was succeeded to make a metallurgical load in order to obtain an useful slag as matrix flux for the automatic welding (SAW) and a ferroalloy as alloying load for several electric arc welding consumables. The obtained presents an oxide's composition that guarantees the metallurgical and technological properties and of the desired slag of flux. The complex alloy obtained by carbotermic reduction in electric arc furnace with graphite crucible presents relatively high contents of Mo (2,87%), Nb (> 1,80%), V (> 1,20%) among other metallic element of high metallurgic value for the manual and automatic welding (SMAW and SAW).
