| Abstract: | In this study, scattered waves by a perfect electromagnetic circular cylinder illuminated by a plane wave are derived asymptotically. The induced currents on the reflector surface are obtained using the boundary conditions of a perfect electromagnetic surface to construct the kernel of the physical optics scattering integral. The uniform wave expressions are performed in terms of Fresnel functions. The obtained wave expressions are evaluated numerically for large values of wavenumber. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
