Abstract: The root-mean-square radii of Li in the short-lived excited states were experimentally deduced from the analysis of H and C diffraction scattering. Differential cross sections of the elastic and inelastic scattering were analyzed by the Modified diffraction model (MDM). No significant radius enhancement was observed for the first excited state 0.98 MeV 1 . At the same time 40 radius enhancement was estimated for the second excited state 2.26 MeV 3 . This result is argument to possible halo structure of this state. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
