When agents within a hierarchical venture face deficits, the losses may not solely be attributed to the agents themselves but could also stem from their superiors' decision-making errors. The problem is about how to distribute these losses fairly. We formalize a loss-sharing model and introduce the k -level equal division rule to address this issue. Next, two axiomatizations are provided for this rule. Moreover, we define a related game and show that the above rule coincides with the Shapley value of this game. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
