| Abstract: | To further optimize the traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor and enhance its performance and efficiency, this paper proposes a T-shaped tooth stator structure model. A vibration characteristic simulation analysis of the T-shaped tooth stator is conducted, with the traditional rectangular tooth stator structure used as a comparison to indirectly demonstrate the feasibility of this concept. Subsequently, an optimization objective function is established, and key parameters are progressively identified through sensitivity analysis and the Plackett–Burman design method. The Box-Behnken design method is then employed to produce various design schemes with differing dimensions, optimizing the stator dimensions. Upon selecting the optimal scheme, the frequency differences between the working mode of the T-shaped tooth and adjacent interference modes increased by 8.2% and 4.7%, respectively, while the working mode amplitude increased by 16.1%. Finally, an experimental validation platform was constructed based on simulation analysis. Mechanical output characteristic tests revealed that, under a preload of 50 N and a driving voltage of 100 Vpp, the prototype achieved a maximum rotational speed of approximately 122 rpm and a stall torque of about 1.1 N∙m. These results confirm that the design effectively enhances the performance and efficiency of the traveling wave rotary ultrasonic motor, indicating promising application prospects.
