Abstract: The article examines the challenges faced by the field of radiology in attracting medical students to pursue it as a career, despite its recognized clinical importance. A study conducted by Seng et al. surveyed 1,184 medical students in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, revealing that while 99% acknowledged radiology's relevance, 64% ruled out a career in the specialty, primarily due to perceived limited patient interaction and concerns about artificial intelligence (AI) replacing radiologists. The findings suggest a need for curricular reforms to enhance student exposure to radiology and address misconceptions about AI's role in the field. The article advocates for innovative educational strategies and outreach programs to foster interest in radiology among future physicians. [Extracted from the article]
