Abstract: The reduction in food losses and waste within agrifood chains is a topic of great interest due to the impact it generates in economic, environmental, and social aspects. An action that allows us to mitigate losses and waste is the implementation of the circular economy model, where all resources and waste are used and factors such as water, energy, materials, and information can be used and returned to the production cycle to optimize their value. A multicriteria methodology is proposed for the selection of agrifood chains with circular economy potential, through the implementation of quantitative and qualitative prioritization, proposing indicators related to the circular economy such as product potential and chain organization. TOPSIS is used accompanied by the Shannon and Condorcet index to prioritize 46 fruit and vegetable chains in a Colombian region. The main products prioritized in three proposed rankings are avocado, grapes, and guava. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
