| Abstract: | Securing digital data is one of the prominent aspects in communication and cryptography is considered to be a potential solution for securing digital data. There is a need for an efficient cryptographic technique for strengthening data from adversarial attacks. Improving the efficiency of the communication platform majorly depends on the efficiency of the cryptographic algorithms which emphasizes the safety of the data. This paper presents a modified version of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm, specifically tailored for hypervisor and VM (virtual machine) communication. The Round Decreased Advanced Encryption Standard Dynamic Sbox (RDAES DSbox) algorithm is designed in this work with a reduced number of rounds. The offered modified AES minimizes the encryption and decryption durations and increases the security of digital data. Results of the experimental analysis show that the proposed approach achieves an excellent performance in terms of minimizing the encryption and decryption compared to other existing techniques. The findings demonstrate the efficacy of the RDAES DSbox algorithm for strengthening secure communication in hypervisor and VM environments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
