| Abstract (English): | This communication presents the progress and reflections derived from the university outreach initiative Hacemos Plaza, carried out in the Las Dalias neighborhood, in the northern area of Mar del Plata. The activity, initially introduced as Ecoplaza, evolved into Hacemos Plaza through a process of dialogue and the collective appropriation of the project by local residents and volunteers. This new name emerged as an expression of the identity and sense of belonging of the group involved in the creation of the public space. The project promotes community participation in the development and improvement of public spaces, fostering ecological sustainability, popular habitat, and sustainable development, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals. It is grounded in a co-design approach and assisted self-construction. This experience strengthens the relationship between the University and the community, integrating technical, social, and territorial knowledge toward the collective construction of habitat and knowledge. | Abstract (Spanish): | La presente comunicación expone los avances y reflexiones de la actividad de extensión universitaria Hacemos Plaza, desarrollada en el barrio Las Dalias, en la zona norte de Mar del Plata. La actividad, que en su presentación inicial se denominó Ecoplaza, se transformó en el proceso en Hacemos Plaza, a partir del diálogo y apropiación colectiva del proyecto por parte de los vecinos y voluntarios. Esta denominación surgió como expresión de identidad y pertenencia del grupo que lleva adelante la construcción del espacio público. El Proyecto promueve la participación comunitaria en la construcción y mejora de espacios públicos, fomentando la sostenibilidad ecológica, el hábitat popular y el desarrollo sustentable, alineándose con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Desde una perspectiva de co-diseño y autoconstrucción asistida. La experiencia fortalece el vínculo entre la Universidad y la comunidad, articulando saberes técnicos, sociales y territoriales para la construcción colectiva del hábitat y el conocimiento. | Abstract (Portuguese): | A presente comunicação apresenta os avanços e reflexões da atividade de extensão universitária Hacemos Plaza, desenvolvida no bairro Las Dalias, na zona norte de Mar del Plata. A atividade, inicialmente denominada Ecoplaza, transformou-se em Hacemos Plaza ao longo do processo, a partir do diálogo e da apropriação coletiva do projeto por parte dos moradores e voluntários. Essa denominação surgiu como expressão de identidade e pertencimento do grupo que conduz a construção do espaço público.
