| Abstract: | An inductive abrasive sensor is a key device for collecting oil signals and monitoring equipment wear. By collecting oil signals through the sensor, the number and size of oil particles are analysed to reflect the degree of equipment wear. This study is based on a dual-excitation inductive sensor for system design and signal processing experiments. The system hardware module is designed using electromagnetic induction principles and signals are collected and analysed through oil software. The sensor is analysed and modelled using JMAG-Designer finite element software and the output characteristics of the sensor are specifically analysed. The study clarifies the relationship between induced electromotive force and both abrasive particle diameter and abrasive particle flow velocity and reveals the distribution of the magnetic field inside the sensor and the relationship between magnetic field direction and magnetic induction intensity, as well as the law of induced voltage and coil width and inner radius. A numerical experiment shows that when 100 µm iron metal abrasive particles pass through the sensor, the induced voltage is approximately distributed as a cosine function. This achievement provides a theoretical basis and new solutions for fault diagnosis of monitoring equipment in the field of inductive abrasive sensors. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
