Abstract (English): Access to potable water and basic sanitation poses a significant challenge in small Cuban cities with deteriorated infrastructure. This study presents a technical methodology adapted to local conditions for evaluating water and sanitation projects with international cooperation. Six case studies from different regions of the country were analyzed, considering relevance, effectiveness, sustainability, and impact on water quality. The methodology, based on quantitative and qualitative tools, identified deficiencies and proposed technical solutions to improve the performance of supply systems. The results show significant improvements in service coverage and quality, benefiting more than 100,000 people. This work provides practical tools for evaluating and managing hydraulic projects, promoting more efficient resource use and sustainable impacts in vulnerable communities. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
