Abstract (English): The objective was to propose new sanitary strategies for the management of solid waste in the face of local environmental pollution in districts of the Peruvian coast. Quantitative, projective study, with feasible project modality. A census sampling was used in three municipalities of Metropolitan Lima, working with 62 officials with competence in environmental matters. The results indicate in the diagnosis that there are very low values that should be addressed; as far as feasibility is concerned, the SWOT matrix determined that the proposal is viable. It is concluded that the proposed sanitary strategies for solid waste management in the coastal districts of the Peruvian coast can be effective in reducing local environmental pollution and promoting a healthier and more sustainable environment.
