Abstract: This article is the guest editor's introduction to the special issue entitled "Critical Perspectives on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems." We discuss the state of the literature on Entrepreneurial Ecosystems (EE), noting its rapid growth, and also commenting upon some of the challenges that it faces.
