Abstract: CENDI is an interagency group of senior Scientific and Technical Information (STI) managers from twelve federal agencies in United States. The members are from National Libraries or Information Offices under each agency and other related institutions. Through cooperation among members, CENDI aims to achieve grater accomplishments than individual agency can and to improve the productivity of federal science and technology based programs by effective STI support system. CENDI was established in 1985 under Memorandum of Understanding among four agencies and then new agencies joined up until the present. Its root goes back to Committee of Scientific and Technical Information (COSATI) in early 1960s. Regular meetings and the secretariat are organized and its activities include working on congress and activities by five working groups; Content Management & Access, Copyright & Intellectual Property, IT Security & Privacy, STI Policy and Science. gov Alliance.
